Visitors can hike to the top of the volcanic shell, which peaks at 1763 feet above sea level, or pursue miles of trails on foot or by bicycle, including Volcanic Trail, which has a number of designated points of interest. Set northeast of Oakland, the park is beside Huckleberry Botanic Regional Preserve.
